Hall Road looking to keep up pre-season form

Hall Road Rangers will look to continue their 100% start to pre-season on Tuesday night when they face Westella & Willerby at Haworth Park (7.30pm).

A Chris Spinks first half double was enough to see off a spirited Beverley Town side at the weekend, as Hall Road recorded their third straight pre-season win.

The early signs have been encouraging from Rangers and with the FA Cup tie at AFC Mansfield looming on August 5th, they will look to crank up the intensity in this latest run-out.

Now ground-sharing at Haworth Park, Westella will provide another intriguing insight into how Hall Road are progressing.

After dropping out of the NCEL last season, Westella will look to rebuild in the Humber Premier League this coming campaign in the hope that they can soon return to step six football within the next few years.

Although results are secondary during pre-season Rangers supporters have seen encouraging signs in their opening three friendlies.

Despite starting slowly in the Goole and North Ferriby fixtures, two blistering second half displays helped them see off higher ranked opposition, whilst Saturday’s win at Beverley did little to dampen the spirits in the camp.

They will be looking to combine everything from the first three friendlies for a more complete performance this time around.
